How the time has flown

We finally came to the realization this weekend that Owen NEEDS to start eating solid foods.  After two weeks of getting up every couple of hours so he can eat ravenously, I broke down and bought the rice cereal.  Friday night we had the discussion that it was time, though Dave had to convince me to actually decide that we’d follow through on the plan to introduce solids.  By doing this, it meant he’s not my baby anymore… He’s all grown up (okay, I know he’s still a baby, at 4 1/2 months we still have quite some time before he’s running around and not cuddling up with me and a bottle, however, this is how it feels to me).  So, as sad as it was, we sat down last night and made our first attempt!! AND, we were actually successful… AND, besides the constant laughter both on our part and his, the best part?? He only got up once last night… ONCE… He ate like crazy, but it was only once.  I feel like a new person after all that sleep.  Thank you rice cereal.  I’m still a little sad about it, but it was obviously for the best.  And there will be lots and lots of little milestones still to come 🙂

Delicious!
